Daredevil (3) You are good at taking risks, and even better at surviving them. When attempting exceptionally risky actions (Such as leaping from one moving car to another), characters with this Merit add an additional three dice to their rolls, and negate a single botch die that may result from such a roll. Generally, such actions must be at least difficulty 8 and have the potential to inflict at least three health levels of damage if failed.
|
Lifesaver (3) - You believe that human life is a sacred gift and will not take a person's life except in the most extreme of circumstances. You may not ever willingly endanger the lives of innocents or in any way participate in a killing. You have no problems with killing animals(for the right reasons), and will kill evil and inhuman creatures to protect others (Be very careful, however, with your definition of 'evil...') Senseless death in all forms repulses you, and you feel that those who perform murder should be punished and stopped.
Overconfident (1) - You have an exaggerated and unshakeable opinion of your own worth and capabilities. You never hesutate to trust your abilities, even in situations where you risk defeat. Because your abilities may not be enough, such overconfidence can be very dangerous. When you do fail, you quickly find someone or something else to blame. If you are convincing enough, you can infect others with your overconf idence |

Legend Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, the 'Red Baron.'
History The Etherites' "governing" body, the Council for the Enforcement of Scientific Ethics, has a few choice words to say about one of the Tradition's former golden boys. Rising through the ranks from humble beginnings as a crewman on the famous skyship Etherjammer, Captain Corposant's electrifying explots took him from one end of the Etherspace Continuum to the other. From battling Nazis in the Hollow Earth to flying with fighter squadrons on the Horizon against Void Engineers and Horrors From Beyond alike. With a jacket full of medals and commendations, he could have - and did- write his own ticket with the Royal Ethernautical Society's elite Sky Cavalry.
The incident and subsequent fallout sensationalized a few issues of Paradigma, and the pair are still at large. The rumor mill is still out, though, as to whether it was Captain Corposant that abducted the lovely engineer to assist in his dastardly plans, or if Doctor Sidereal's nefarious feminine wiles led the madboy pilot astray.

Point-to-Point Narrow Band Transmission (Corr oo Forces oo or ooo) : While wearing a headset, the user can broadcast to any single nearby radio or television receiver, so long as it is turned on. This also works on close groups of receivers, such as those in a store window display. The number of successes rolled determines clarity of reception. The mage can make the voice or image sound and look like whatever he wants. The more elaborate the alteration, the more successes it demands.
Ballistic Repellant (Forces oo) 'Arrest the Flight of Arrows,' Verbena Revised: Sucesses scored from the spellcasting are subtracted from successes rolled to hit the subject with a missile weapon, from a thrown rock to an arrow or even a bullet. If the attack roll is reduced to zero or fewer successes, then the missile drops harmlessly to the ground a short distance from the target, robbed of its momentum. Even if the attack still has one or more successes, the hit ir somewhat blunted (since fewer successes mean fewer damage dice)
