Background:
Born and raised in Halifax,
Carissa is the daughter of the late Erik Christophes known to the Garou
population as "Rages the Bluemoon" Elder Silver Fang Ahroun. By the
time she was born Erik was already an Elder and leader of the Sept. She lived most of her life in the
shadow of her father, so much so that when she went through her Rite of
Passage, she was given the deed name "Chases the Bluemoon" by the
Sept Elders. While it is known to
be a derogatory statement she wears the name proudly because it is after all
her father's name.
Of course living in the shadow of a man so great, Carissa had been a bit of a rebellious youth, taking things to the letter of the law if not the spirit of it. Before her first change, she found herself at one point in love with a local teen named Liam MacIssac. He was not a young man of breeding as she was, in fact, he was not much more than a street punk but she loved him. It became apparent later that it was a romance doomed to fail. Liam turned out to be garou. By the time they had gone through their first changes both teens were professing true love to each other and spent the following two years giving long glances at one another across tables and moots. The kind of tragic romance that only Shakespeare could write about. Right down to the tragic ending...
The pack had been assigned to destroy a Pentex research lab. The pack, namely Carissa and Liam, were betrayed by a Glass Walker packmate who was jealous and who had secretly danced the spiral. In the struggle Carissa was taken hostage and raped while Liam watched and was then killed by Carissa's own Klaive. Carissa frenzied and killed them all.
After that Carissa entered into a state of Harano (deep depression) for several months. In an attempt to get her out of her depressive state Carissa was sent to another Sept in Santa Cruz to live. She began university there and eventually met someone new, a kinfolk by the name of Joey Devonshire. They moved in together, she eventually got pregnant, and continued school so that she could obtain a law degree.
Her relationship with Joey would go sour over time and he left her. Carissa was left to raise the twins and go to school. Ill equipped to be a mother to her sons Carissa made arrangements for her cousins to take the boys to be raised by another branch of the family. A decision that has broken her heart more than once as she finished getting her degree.
Once finished her degree
she was originally slated to take her bar exam in Santa Cruz but after the
destruction of her Sept and her own capture at the hands of the Developmental Neogenetics Amalgamated
research labs she needed another fresh start and moved to Denver. She has just finished taking her bar
exam and is eager to start her new job.
