This is a chat room based role playing game set in the world of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover novels. At the moment this is an unsupported PR who's time frame is about fifteen-twenty years after the events in the prologue of Bloody Sun. We are deliberately trying to fudge time and are not using a map so that we can take advantage of MZB's love for moving her places around to fit the story.
Darkover is a violent, bloody, ugly world at times, and should not be viewed as an idealistic place. This is an M rated room and while cursing is discouraged, topics such as homosexuality, rape, slavery, misanthropy, and incest may be discussed in keeping with how they are handled in the novels. Players are reminded to please be mindful of that before entering play.
For those of you who have not read a Darkover novel before, we recommend Exiles Song or Star of Danger as they are both outsiders introductions to the world. We are toying with a D10 based sheeting system and while sheets are not currently required, they are encouraged and should we become supported will become a requirement.
