It was the dawn of the Third Age, the middle of the twenty-third century, and we were far from alone.  A century before humankind made its first contact with an alien civilization, and with the confidence of an ignorant child man stumbled out into a universe he barely understood.  A universe whose dangers nearly destroyed him.  Or was it that he nearly destroyed himself?  An ill concieved diplomatic/exploration mission led to a devostating war with a power far stronger than Earth Force's generals could even concieve, a holy jihad by one of the oldest races in the galaxy that was not going to stop until the death of every last human being.  On the verge of achieving that goal, facing the last desperate Battle of the Line, the Minibari surrendared.

And that mysterious 'victory' has haunted humanity in the fifteen years that followed.  A shadow of fear and xenophobia fell across Earth and her colonies, because no race could be expected to live comfortably in a universe where you had no control over if you were to be smashed like a bug, or fostered like a gem.

In the wake of the war there were many attempts to establish a lasting peace, the building of the Babylon stations were the most famous--and the most costly--and the establishment of Port Tranquility on Earth's moon.  Intended as a freeport for traders, diplomats, and cultural exchanges it thrived for the first two years of operation under President Luis Santiago.  But Santiago was assassinated by a vast conspiracy made of of members of his own government, and the Earth Alliance fell into dictatorship.  Port Tranquility's hope faded as Homeguard terrorists drove most aliens away from Earth space, and the Ministry of Peace's Night Watch and allies in the PsiCorps held humanity in fear.

The recent death of President Morgan Clark, and the restoration of democratic government within the Earth Alliance, may lead to a time of peace and healing.  Or it could be a time for settling scores.

The year was 2262, and Tranquility may come at too high a price.

Welcome to Babylon 5: Port Tranquiity (PR Name: Babylon5)

This is a role playing game set shortly after the fall of President Clark and the formation of the Intersteller Alliance in what was the show's 5th season.  The setting for this game is Port Tranquility, a domed city on the Moon with a population of a quarter million humans and aliens.  Originally meant for humans and aliens to mingle, trade, and establish cultural ties.

Unfortunately, like many dreams this one has a dark side, and the city has also become a place for smuggling, arms trafficking and many things far far worse.

Though the rooms main setting is Port Tranquility, you are not limited to that place and may set rule play at any location, though we strongly encourage you to stay away from Babylon 5 itself for fear of tripping over the canon.
